Your Mortgage Consultation In Lockdown
Following on from our recent blog “Buying & Selling During Lockdown”, we thought it would be good to give you an idea of what to expect from us when it comes to arranging your mortgage. While most steps have changed a little, you can still expect to get the same level of service and expert advice at this time.
“What’s Changed?”
The main difference is that we won’t be meeting you in our offices – however, we can come to you!
Getting In Touch
Your initial contact with us will remain the same, so whether you choose to call us, email, fill out the contact form on our website or get in touch via Facebook we will make an appointment to speak with you and take you through your options.
When an appointment has been arranged, we will come out to you. All of our mortgage consultations now take place as a home visits, as this limits the contact between households.
Safety First!
All of our staff have hand sanitiser, masks and gloves with them at every appointment and viewing they attend.
You obviously will always have the option to discuss everything over the telephone if that is more comfortable for you.
“What Happens Next?”
Then once everything has been discussed and options considered, you can go ahead with viewing as we laid out in our last blog.
Remember you can carry out any and all of this without breaching any guidelines:
- Have your property valued
- Have photos, videos, virtual tour material etc. taken in your home
- View properties
- Travel to view properties
“What About My Documents?”
When it is time to provide us with documentation to support your mortgage application, you can choose whether you want to email these to us or send them via post.
If you are emailing documents, it is really important to scan these properly to make sure there are no delays. Many people think that a picture is good enough, but unfortunately lenders will not accept this.
Once we have received your documents we then process and send your mortgage application as normal.
